Fantasy Grounds, or Roll20 < Any one wanna play sometime using any of these virtual machines? there isn't a ruleset for P&P yet for Fantasy grounds, but since it is so simple we could probably just use the basic ruleset.
Eastern time, 1x a month, maybe up to 2x if we get to having fun and stuff down the road. most likely saturday (not the first saturday of the month) we can knock out specifics after i find some interested.

I've done my share of online gaming, pretty much PbP and PbEmail, but haven't done the real-time stuff. I'd be certainly interested, although I can't guarantee my availability; damn Real Life(tm) gets in the way.

Whenever Real life gets in the way, take 2 more of the blue pills. well we can start out small, if i can get ONE more, i can maybe start a Dynamic Duo sorta super team. less to worry about scheduling. and then as we go if we find that everything clicks we could bring in another player or two as we go. (even if its just a guest appearance or something) so when are you free, lets start with that Nestor?

Saturday night is a good start, although I may have to bow out around 10PM. (What can I say?I'm old) Did you have a specific venue in mind? You mentioned Roll20, I've heard of it but not Fantasy Grounds.

Fantasygrounds.com is in my opinion the BEST virtual rig table available, nothing specific other than seeing who all i find interested, ill fill in details when i get another player interested (or two) and most likely i will put together the setting based on the players and characters, so if the group wants to do "saturday morning cartoon" style that will work, or if you prefer "dark n gritty" i could think of something for that too. best to set up the setting to fit the characters,

For the record, I'm a fan of the DC:AU style (especially the Justice League series); basically what's usually referred to as the Bronze age of comics. Another good example of my preferred style is Kurt Busiek's Astro City. I'll take a look at the Fantasy Grounds site. Thanks!

Either way would work with me. From an online perspective, I recall that groups larger then 4-5 tend to get unwieldly in terms of keeping the pace going, but that's dependent on the group.

Ok i will start you off in a small team with one or two NPC hero ally's and this will keep it simple so we can do something to get started but also will give us room incase we find other players who wish to join us after we get started. (if you know anyone who might be interested personally i would get a hold of them and let them know) ill probably use roll20.net & Skype instead of fantasy grounds , even tho i love fantasy grounds just because its free. but if players happen to have fantasy grounds and wish to use that we can do that too at that point. go ahead and put together your 36 point hero build and then ill add the 2 NPC that best accompanies your build.
basics before we start....
1- Location : Valiant City (metropolis in disarray after a failed Invasion that cost a lot of collateral damage) 2- Team: The Government created the Supers Division also known as the National Association of Enhanced Paranormals (or NAEP), your Squad will be a special ops Division of NAEP codenamed "Demon Force" 3- The current Leader of Demon Force is NEO (Nuclear Energized Orb) he's simply a softball sized ball of energy that communicates telepathically, nothing else is known about him by the player characters starting out. 4- The current Leader of NAEP is Codenamed Minds Eye. a telepath who was appointed by the president himself. 5- Supers that refuse to join the ranks of NAEP are known as Deserters. they are not obligated to serve in NAEPS ranks but not doing so is akin to burning the flag in current societies eyes.

No worries. I will cogitate on an appropriate character to unleash in this setting. Does roll20.net have a messaging system or chat? I figured this would be the point when we move off this forum to continue our machinations.

I was actually thinking of a forum of some sort to engage in the nitty-gritty of character creation and discussion. Of course, if Len doesn't mind us using this forum, we can go on as we have. With that said, I do have some setting questions: - Is the PC team (or PC/NPC team) a squad within Demon Force, or does it comprise the division as a whole? If the latter, what function does NEO play in the game (e.g., offscreen NPC mentor/leader, active NPC)?
- What sort of characters will the NPC team members be? For that matter, I strongly recommend we have a starting session where we create our characters as a group, so as to ensure we have a strong complementing team.
- What is Demon Force's mission focus? Law Enforcement? Search & Rescue?
- What is the general public's perception of supers? Are the saviors, or are they seen as failing to prevent the invaison and the devastation it caused?
