I am planning at some point to create the world illustrated within the pages of PnP, featuring names and write ups for the villains featured, the quick start heroes featured. The aim is to create a Marvel/DC inspired world, adopting the Sentinels of the Multiverse approach of flipping recognisable archetypes on their head, switching genders etc. Guess for this to work, I am starting with necessities:
Cities equivalent to Metropolis and Gotham A Shield type law enforcement agency A famous school for gifted supers Interesting heroes from Europe and across the globe A European intelligence and supers agency Alien races who have established contact Atlanteans and other ancient races A Paragon archetype hero, the first hero to emerge in the late 1930s. May not necessarily be still alive. I like the idea he/she saved earth from a massive threat and sacrificed themselves to do so. There may already be someone to inherit their powers. A team of magical, cosmic individuals protecting the earth from powerful occult and inter dimensional threats. A Hydra like organization secretly plotting to take over the world. Perhaps they have a certain high profile President under their control, ready to destabilise the world's political theatre...
Just musing at this stage... Anyone created characters out of the villains featured in the PnP book?
I intend to build this using a recent Eurocentric campaign I ran recently. This featured "The Union", a collection of European supers who operate out of their HQ built under the Atomium in Brussels.

Ok, some musings on the illustrations:
Page 4 Well here we see the two characters that define the title, the PnP version of Batman and Superman. Actually, out of all of the designs and characters featured in the book, these are ironically the least interesting. However they feature prominently, so they need fleshing out.
Harbinger Harbinger is the champion of the night and is actually a spirit of fury, omen and retribution that inhabits souls throughout history. Although the current host has mastery of gadgets and technology, the spirit which brought him back to life has its own agenda, and can show the true fate of anyone staring into Harbingers eyes (his Omen Sight).
Praetorian Praetorian, a genetically altered guardian from the far future of Earth, after being thrown back in time uses his knowledge of a future filled with war and corruption to fuel his compassion and desire to do good. Praetorian's viewpoint often puts him at odds with Harbinger, who often acts with a mysterious and dispassionate manner. As a man out of time, Praetorian is one of the few people who are immune to Harbingers Omen sight, something that troubles Harbinger. Page 18 There are some familiar faces here: Gatecrasher, Stronghold, Combustion, Generator, Citizen Soldier, and Psidarm. There are two new faces however:
Tigris An arrogant boxer takes an experimental tiger dna steroid transforming him into a beast with incredible agility and strength
Lady Katana A mixed heritage asian woman, descendant of a great japanese female warrior. Trained herself to defend the weak against criminal gangs.
