Before I ask this rather obvious question, I just have to say how much I like this system. It suits my Narrative focused mind with a great amount of mechanical heft to make it interesting on that level, while at the same time keeping it nice and simple. Well, anyway my question is simple and more for me to reaffirm the fact that I can read, and read correctly, . The blocking pro allows the strike trait to be used as an active defense against ranged attack traits correct? So that means that the strike trait can be used as an active defense against other melee based traits without needing the blocking pro correct?

That is 100% correct. And thanks so much for your kind words!
The secret about the game's narrative engine is that if the group isn't feeling all that "narrative" one day, you can simply run the game like any other rpg where stat rolls determine success or failure. When using the game that way, getting 1 or more net successes is effectively a success. But shhh, don't tell anyone ...

Due credit where credit is most certainly due , and thank you for the response! Oh, and no worries. As a huge supers fan, I am more than careful when it comes to keeping certain things quiet. Mum is most certainly the word
