Hey everyone! I am totally new to the system and the forums. I picked the book yesterday and have been reading through it in my spare time, with the intent of moving my players to this system in the near future. While I read, I am making sure that each of their characters can be created in this system and so far it it basically a one to one conversion... except for 1 character. My question comes in the form of element control. I see it mentioned in a couple of different places (as an example of Omni Power and as a limitation, or con, for telekinesis). How would you go about building a character who had the power to control 4 different types of elements (I MIGHT be trying to create a certain bald-headed American cartoon character that knows element-based Kung-Fu. ). It seems very expensive to use 4 different iterations of Omni Power (1 for each element). The resolve cost almost seems like it makes Omni Power prohibitively expensive (assuming I am interpreting the rules correctly in that you must spend the parties resolve each time you activate your ability?) It also seems like one cannot attack with said elements when using telekinesis. At the very least, that is what I took away from the rules and various posts on this forum. Any help in creating this character would be appreciated! We are looking to play Standard or High power level. Thanks. - D.L.

Hey Disaster - I recently joined on here too, and it seems like this place is a little dead. I tried emailing Len directly but have yet to get a response - maybe I should check Twitter or something. At any rate, look at the Variation pro. You could do, say, Telekinesis (limited to earth), then for 2 points grab the alternate Telekinesis (limited to water). This pro lets you take a different version of the same super trait you already have, but it can have different pros and cons. Your fire abilities will probably be best represented by Blast, and you'll have to buy those separately. And air, well, it depends on what you want to do with it. You could buy a variation of Blast for that, and pick up stuff like Flight or whatever.
You could potentially do Omni Power (the four elements) and use it for special moves, but I don't know if that's too broad. Hope my meager knowledge helps!

Hi Disaster! Personally, Omni Power is probably your cheapest option. Personally I would apply the Variant advantage to that, so you buy +6D pro to channel 4 elements with Omni Power. I would, however, suggest doing the same for blasts, as they really drain Resolve , same with other one-shot effects. It is very quiet here but please keep posting so we can kick start this! I am currently running a campaign and loving it!
